THE BEST SUNSET ON NUSA LEMBONGAN
We thought Devil's Tears was a dramatic name but we learned rather quickly how appropriate it actually is.
Devil's Tears is a cliff-like land mass located between Sunset Beach and Dream Beach on Nusa Lembongan, an island off of Bali's southeast coast. It's free and it's a great for watching some amazing sunsets.
WHAT YOU'LL SEE
Upon arrival you'll find a rocky uneven cliff overlooking Devil's Tears Bay with natural infinity pools stretching out into the sea. Large waves at low tide come in sets of 3-5 every few minutes and crash upon the cliffs in dramatic fashion. The view is alluring and the waves crashing are mesmerizing, all drawing you closer and closer to the edges.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Suddenly a huge set of waves roll up. Out of no where they explode and then crash down just in front of you with great force. We observed this (and were warned by other visitors) so we didn't get too close. Even with warning, some people always push their limits. As the sun was setting, a group of tourists got a little too close. After a rogue wave crashed on top of them they got pretty battered up from the sharp rocks. We later learned that people have died here in the past, so it’s good to stick to the dry parts of sand and rock and watch from there.

Her view is heavenly, but her tears are devilish. This is a place where you can really see the power of mother nature. Devil's Tears easily tops our list of best places to watch the sunset.
Do yourself a favor and stay after the sun sets and everyone leaves. The entire sky lights up with color after the sun passes below the horizon and you'll be there all alone to take it in.
